Overview
Lightsource is a fine art printer and digital imaging business in San Francisco. They came to us with a design in hand and two clear needs: build a solid Wordpress theme, and streamline the process of how customers submit print files when they place orders.
Custom File Upload Integration
We built a custom Woocommerce checkout that integrates Uploadcare's file uploader directly into the ordering process. Customers attach their images as they are configuring their print specifications, and the images are included in the order. The result is simpler for customers and eliminates administrative headaches for the Lightsource team.
Flexible Content Management
The site uses Advanced Custom Fields to create reusable page templates. Standard layouts for different types of content are built once and can be applied across the site. New pages can be created from existing elements, with guardrails in place to maintian cohesion and reduce decision fatigue. It keeps the site feeling cohesive without requiring custom development for every new page.
